Central Auto acquired by IMES DEXIS. VDP advised the shareholders of the family business Central Auto in the transfer of ownership.
The family business Central Auto has a long tradition. In 1945, it started as a shop for car parts and quickly grew into a major supply of industrial equipment for the port of Antwerp. In the 1970s, the company expanded its services to hydraulica, compressed air centre, and continued to invest during the 1990s.
IMES DEXIS nv, part of the French ‘Descours & Cabaud’ group and the Belgian market leader in the MRO sector, has acquired Central Auto driven by its specialisation in hydraulics and pneumatic solutions and its strong position in the port of Antwerp.
