Markets were volatile at the start of the year, driven by macroeconomic uncertainty, trade tensions, weaker sentiment around large tech earnings, and escalating conflict in the Middle East impacting energy supply, which affected both equity and bond markets.
During the month, we successfully advised on several transactions across different sectors, further reflecting continued deal activity in the Belgian market.
We are also pleased to welcome Noah Verriest to the VDP team. Following a successful internship, Noah joins us full-time and brings strong analytical skills and a great cultural fit to the firm.
